Psalms 23:5
In psalms 23:5 the phrase “my cup runs over with blessings” is very symbolic. Back in those times when you were a guest in someone’s house traditionally they put a glass of wine on the breakfront. If it was empty, then they did not want you to be in their house. if it was full then you were welcome in their house and at their table. Now, if it were overflowing then you were soooooo welcome and loved that you could stay as long as you want.
God loves you so much that he sent his only son to be down with us, and to die for us. His sinless Son gave His own life to save all of us, you, me, and those we may not even like.
You know, some people hold grudges so long that when they are on their deathbed they say something like: “Tell Susie I said sorry for what I did to her 2 years ago.” or”tell my momma that I love her.” It is really sad that things go on like that.
Proverbs 3:7-8
7: Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. 8: then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.
Psalms 3:3-5
3: but you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. 4: I cried out to the Lord and he answered me from his holy mountain. 5:I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the Lord is watching over me
Galatians 5:1
It is for freedom that Christ has set you free. Stand firm, and do not let yourself be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
James 4:7-8
I found this verse in the book of James it was in chapter 4 verses 7 and 8 this is how it goes:
7:So humble yourselves before God. Resist the enemy, and he must flee from you.
8:Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.
